The Mount Barker
Community Nursery
Our new community nursery is now open in Mount Barker.
We are really excited to share that the Mount Barker Community Nursery, is now open for plant sales every Thursday from 9.30am - 2.30pm. Everyone is welcome!
The plants are looking amazing and are ready for their new homes. Come along and check out the nursery space, meet Sam the Nursery Manager and buy some lovely natives to enhance biodiversity in your own backyard.
If you love getting your hands dirty caring for native plants and have some free time on Thursdays, talk to Sam about volunteering. It’s a great way to spend some time outdoors, make new connections with like-minded people while learning skills in plant propagation, care and nursery management.
The nursery grows a wide range of local native species suitable for gardens and revegetation projects. You can keep up to date with it’s progress on our social pages and through subscribing to our newsletter below.
The Mount Barker Community Nursery has received funding support from Mount Barker District Council and Foundation for National Parks and Wildlife.
