A Webinar From The Nature Education Project
Weeds can smother and out-compete indigenous plants, degrade and destroy unique habitats, and threaten the wildlife dependent on those habitats.
Join SA’s leading Weed Ecologist, Chris Brodie online, as he delves into the important work of identifying new and emerging weeds in his role as a Weeds Botanist at the Botanic Garden and State Herbarium of South Australia.

Event Details…
Chris works closely with stakeholders throughout SA, including Green Adelaide, councils, Landscape Boards, and other land managers to identify, collect and document the naturalised flora (weeds) of the state. Of importance is the early detection of new weed populations in South Australia which provides the greatest opportunity for land managers to eradicate or containment new weedy populations.
Chris is the point of contact for anyone with a suspected new weed species that requires confirmation or identification. He is working on numerous weedy plant groups for the 5th edition of Flora of South Australia.
This session will be recorded and made available on the Green Adelaide YouTube channel.
