Event Details…
Would you like to be a scientist for a day? Keen to get out in the field and learn some practical skills?
We’d love your help at the Bremer Waterbug Bioblitz where we will be monitoring the health of the catchments on Friday 8th November.
At this family friendly event, we’ll get out and about in the field collecting and sorting macroinvertebrate (waterbug) samples and taking water quality measurements from sites across the catchment (Wistow, Callington, Harrogate, Mount Barker, Dawesley). Morning tea and lunch provided!
The Waterbug Bioblitz program is delivered in South Australia by the Hills and Fleurieu, Northern and Yorke and Murraylands and Riverland landscape boards, and partners.
The Angas-Finniss and Bremer Waterbug Bioblitz events are delivered by Second Nature Conservancy, with support from Landscapes Hills and Fleurieu and the Department for Environment and Water’s Flows for the Future program. These events are funded by Landscape Levy and the South Australian Government’s Citizen Science Grants program.
