Nurragi Reserve Spring Walk

  • Milang Railway Museum Daranda Terrace Milang, SA, 5256 Australia (map)

A Walking Event from the Nature Education Project

Experience the beauty of Nurragi Conservation in Spring, guided by a Friends of Nurragi Volunteer.

Choose from two walking distances; 3.7km or 6.9km.

Starting at Milang, a complimentary bus will drop you off at your chosen start point, and accompanied by a Friends of Nurragi volunteer guide, make your way back to Milang. Afterwards refresh and rejuvenate with a free BBQ lunch at the Milang Oval.

The Nurragi Conservation Reserve is a former railway corridor between Sandergrove and Milang. It is now a significant wildlife corridor with over 50 rare or threatened flora species and many bird species have been observed. The Reserve is one of the last stands of native vegetation in the district and is cared for by the Friends of Nurragi, a volunteer group that undertake on-ground works to conserve the natural values of the Reserve.

Please note there are no facilities along the Reserve, so ensure you bring sufficient drinking water, wear appropriate footwear, be SunSmart and bring some extra snacks if you may need them.

This Nature event is a collaboration between Friends of Nurragi and Second Nature, is seeded by Green Adelaide and supported by National Trust South Australia.
