Alexandrina Greening and Wildlife Native Plant Packs
The Alexandrina Greening and Wildlife Project aims to educate and encourage residents of Alexandrina Council to plant local native plant species in their gardens to improve biodiversity and support local wildlife, supported by a series of informative and interactive workshops.
Packs of 10 local native plants are available for $10, subsidised by Alexandrina Council. The species are selected for their biodiversity value and suitability for the home garden. Packs are limited and will sell out, so be quick!
You will receive a random selection which may include grasses, sedges, groundcovers, and small to medium shrubs. Examples of species you may receive in your pack include Cullen Australasicum (Native Scurf Pea), Olearia axillaris (Coast Daisy bush) and Rytidosperma geniculatum (Kneed Wallaby Grass).
COLLECTION DETAILS
You can collect your plant pack on;
Saturday 7th September 10am - 12 noon
Alexandrina Community Nursery
Kessell Road, Goolwa (next to the Council Depot)
If you can't make the collection day, you can ask a friend or family member to pick up on your behalf.
Resources about how to care for your seedlings, wildlife gardening and sustainable garden design are all available for free.
All plants are propagated and raised at the Alexandrina Community Nursery supported by a wonderful group of volunteers who we wish to thank for their time and support.
